Williamsburg Restaurant/Bar

We will be visiting the Williamsburg area in early October, 2012. We very much enjoy sampling craft beers. We are especially happy to find a bar/pub that serves good food and also provides a good variety of taps. Is anything like this located in the area?

I'd give the Green Leafe a go. They serve a multitude of beers including Williamsburg's own AleWerks. Food is good pub grub. Two locations in miniature metro Williamsburg.

Also serving distinctive beer but a league higher on the foodie chain is Blue Talon Bistro. Last year the first weekend in October was a city sponsored arts weekend, An Occasion for The Arts. Blue Talon is located in the center of that event and to add to the festivity they were hosting An Occasion for Beer.

Somewhere in the middle, food and atmosphere-wise, of obxgirl's excellent recommendations is Oceans and Ale behind the outlets on Richmond Rd.

But don't judge it from the website. It's more casual and fun than you would think after looking at the website.

I love Blue Talon Bistro. It's right in the Colonial Williamsburg/ William and Mary area as well.

Don't miss the wonderful restaurants that are IN Williamsburg, especially Kings Arms.

I agree with both The Blue Talon and also Oceans and Ale. Great choices!
