Which hotel in DC: Radisson Barcello or Jurys?

I'd like to stay in the Dupont Circle area and both of these receive good reviews on this board and tripadvisor. It seems that the Barcello's rooms are larger, but that Jurys might be better located. Is there much of a difference in location and quality between these two properties?

I stayed at the Barcello with my husband and two kids this summer. The rooms are very large, however they are a little run down, but they are clean. The location is great, just as good as Jurys. I enjoyed the pool area for afternoon rest. It is easy walking distance to subway and dupont cirle. I would stay there again.

I am actually writing this from Jury's. It is a fine place right on Dupont Circle. The rooms are not large but not tiny, either. The bathrooms are a bit tight tight - the toilet and shower are in a small room, with a good size vanity area separate. The location is excellent, but if you are in a room looking over the circle you will be subject to signifcant road noise - I had to change rooms, and am usually not botered by traffic noise. No problme in the new room. Ask for a room on the side or interior facing and it will be fine. The house restaurant, Dupont Grill, is a good option for dinner.
The Barcelo is just a couple blocks away, and the rooms are definitely larger but not as nicely furnished. Even if you don't stay at the Barcelo, if you are here on a Sunday don't miss the brunch at Gabriel's, the Barcelo restaurant.

The difference in location is negligible (Jury's is 1 block to Metro, Radisson is 2 blocks). Both locations are great. The question is: Which is more important to you: a larger room or finer furnishings??

I stayed at the Barcello 3 yrs. ago. If the furnishings aren't up to snuff then it's gone downhill. They were very nice then. It's a great hotel. The service is wonderful. The spacious rooms and the just-off-the-main-drag location are really plusses, IMO. They make it seem a step above the norm.
