"Why doesn't anyone ever answer my Naples questions?"
At 10 o'clock at night? Good thing you smiled when you said that, stranger!
Short answer:
If it says "Pelican Bay" or "Vanderbilt Beach" or "Gulf Shore Blvd" or "Venetian Village" or "Old Naples" you are probably within walking distance of the beach.
If it says "Gordon Drive", it is near the beach and you are rich.
If it mentions "golf" or "East of 41" you are not.

Hi,
Have you considered Bonita Beach? It is just a little north of Naples.
That is the thing with vrbo you have to know neighbourhoods, certain terms,(short walk is always a very relative thing), bay, harbour, whatever....
Just look at the photos they owners post, can you see the beach from the lanai?

Vanderbilt Beach and Bonita Beach are likely to yield the most "on the beach" condos. There are NONE in "downtown Naples" and only a very few in North Naples (Pelican Bay or ParkShore) that would offer rentals of anything less than 6 months or a year. But if you do find any in those two areas, that would be MY preference.
Frenchtoile, I guess I somehow missed your post earlier today. I usually jump on ANY Naples post. Have I missed others? If you come up with any specifics, be sure to let us know. Having lived in Naples full time since 1977, I've been here longer than most of the condos have! Would love to help you out.

Patrick, you have no doubt seen some condos built, then torn down and replaced by other condos in that time!
I am thinking about the place almost across from Loudermilk Park!
But I am sure there are others.
I remember Florida in the 1950's and even the day we got our first air conditioner, in 1957. I don't think I ever went outside again! But there wasn't much in Naples in 1957!
