I am here until Sunday. Still need hotel for Sat. PM. Will prob get the Islander in Kapaa before flying home. Not sure.

Walked around Princeville and the Hyatt hotels yesterday. Princeville was so stuffy and dead. OMG, I would never stay there! I liked the Hyatt. More elegant than the Maui Hyatt, but still dramatic.

I might try the Tahiti thing on Friday.

The vog has been thicker it seems in the evenings.

Off on my daily adventure!

Auntie, give my regards to Ken the barber and Richie the???

Trust Auntie on this one beachkomer. Tomorrow is the night to stroll the street of Hanalei.

And where have you been besides Borders?

Islander worked great for us, for that place between home and beach houses. Good choice. Maybe Kal can throw out a few names to insure you feel at home when you get there!

In all my trips to Kauai, the vog has never even been noticed.

Pele must be bizzzy!

it's so hazy right now, looking towards bali hai. it looks like fog is rolling in.

i wanted to stay somewhere on the south shore Sat. PM, but the Sheraton is $259 and that's a bit steep for my last night. Condos would require a cleaning fee. I could always just add a night where I am at and use up some of my food!

I will have to make a list of the places that I've been. I drove a lot yesterday, had to get a new pair of glasses (scratched mine). Word to the wise: take your eyeglass prescription with you! I had to get an exam. It was too late back home to have my prescription faxed and I didn't want to repeat that drive.

sorry, long story.

I bought fish at the H.Dolphin place that was recommended, also some sushi from them. I plan to enjoy another night on my patio at sunset. I don't really feel like going to a restaurant. Yeah, I've slowed down from Waikiki! LOL

The heat sort of makes you slow down. That is prob a good thing.
