Where to stay for Philadelphia Flower Show?
Looking for a convenient place to stay for the Philadelphia Flower Show, held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, 12th & Arch Streets. Doesn't have to be cheap. Preferably within wlaking distance if possible. Thanks!

As a Philly resident I don't stay at hotels for the Flower Show, so I can't be certain which are good and which aren't. HOWEVER, you can't get more convenient than the Marriott, which will allow you to get to the show without walking one meter outdoors.
All of the Center City hotels listed in

are in safe, tourist areas, and easily accessible to the show either by walking (depending on your stamina) or bus.

Thank you. PaulRabe: Do you go to the flower show? I understand it is less crowded at night (I have to go over the weekend). If you happen to know, which do you think would be better, Friday or Saturday night? Thanks again!

I went to the Flower show last year, and found it very crowded on weekday nights. You may be better off going on Saturday night?
There are tons of hotels in that area:
Marriott, Residence Inn, Courtyard by Marriott, Loews hotel, Hampton Inn, Ritz-Carlton etc
Check out this promotion for hotel packages:

Generally speaking the least crowded time...and believe me, that's relative...is from about 4-7PM (That's right, over dinner time!)
The Flower Show is incredible; there's nothing like seeing it go up from the bare floor to become a veritable paradise, but it's crowded for sure. You can usually go in and out with the same ticket (maybe a hand stamp, I'm not sure) and that would work well if you are in a nearby hotel.
Have a lovely time! (A few pix from last year are at http://community.webshots.com/user/missalg; I worked on the displays and so was able to get some early pictures...)
