Where to buy beer in Hawaii

This may seem like a silly question, but I know many states vary as to whether beer, wine, and liquor are sold at grocery stores, liquor stores, etc.

Can anyone make any recommendations for Kauai & Maui. We'd like to buy a cooler at Walmart and stock up on drinks and snacks to save a little $$

Thanks!

Safeway in Kihei had good prices. Get a Safeway card prior to going if that is an option. We saved 15-20% on most of our food and alcohol. Crown Royal was actually cheaper in Maui...WOW

There are a number of good local beers that you might like to try. Aloha.

Da Booze Shop in Waimea on Kauai! Never been in but always wanted to stop and at least p/u a t-shirt!

Safeway in Kapaa has decent prices on beer and wine.
KMart too.

There is also a Costco type store in Kapaa that the locals go to for good prices. If your're going to Princeville, stock up on groceries in Kapaa first, much cheaper. You will love Kauai and Maui both....or at least I sure do.
