Davidess:
the point was that Americans are stereotyped abroad (and many times at home) as being narrow minded, culturally blunted, loud, ignorant and insensitive to other cultures.
The poster "E" was requesting that toddruggy not help further this stereotype by procaliming his US citizenship abroad.
It wasn't a slap at Canadians. Actually the opposite.

OK. A little more on the Canadian thing eh! I am also from Canada (the lovely city of London to be precise) I didn't get the feeling E was trying to make people think toddruggy was Canadian but rather that he was not American. Anyway we Canadians are a very sensitive bunch as you Americans would be if your leader was as embarassing as ours!!
TODDRUGGY - I don't think you are a real person or else you visited Sedona at night. Perhaps you should check out the weather before you plan a trip somewhere. Sedona is a tremendous place to visit although I've only been there in July.

I said nothing about you visiting at night.
I won't return your insult.
Read more carefully next time.

Toddruggy would you please tell us what you expected to find in Sedona? What did you think there was to do that didn't exist? Did you research your trip at all? How could you go there the end of April and expect to go in the water at Slide Rock? Did you think all AZ was warm? That water isn't even warm in the summer. Do your homework next time! I'm curious, seriously, what did you think was in Sedona? You did know it was "just" fabulous red rock formations and incredible natural beauty, right? No one has raved about the town of Sedona. That is not why people go. Again, shame on you for not doing your homework.

It is postively mind boggling that anyone could possibly say Sedona was "the most overrated place you've ever been to". What sort of places HAVE you liked?

toddruggy,

Baseball, thanks for letting me know. It really doesn't make any difference to me what sport it was....I don't watch any of them and neither does my DH.

You like baseball games, my Dad loves to play golf, my MIL loves to gamble and DH & I love spending hours driving to beautiful destinations.

Everyone has there "thing" and if it's not your "thing" then you might see it as overrated.
