What did you guys do for the Millennium?

I'm taking a walk down memory lane.

What did you do for the Millennium? Anything cool?

Remember Y2K? Ha ha ha ha ha!

Was all the fuss worth it?

WHICH ONE? 2000 OR 2001? GETTING DRUNK WHILE PROTECTING YOUR TRAIL MIX AND BEER FROM MILITIA NEIGHBORS IS COOL AT ANY YEAR.

I was at a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert in LA. It was a surprise for my husband.

Spent a wild night at an LA dance club with my then-SigO. Then got up at 7 AM to monitor our computer systems for Y2K-related problems (we write our own code, so it was a huge deal)-- what fun! Gee, I'm glad to have relived that exciting evening!

Took my stepdaughters out for a chi chi dinner then drank champagne when the clock struck midnight.

I was actually recovering from surgery earlier that week. I watched the celebrations from around the world on TV, then stepped out onto the porch at midnight to watch the fireworks in downtown Dallas.

My husband was on riot-prevention duty with the National Guard.
