La Plume d'Oie in La Roque-Gageac

We're spending 2 weeks in La Roque-Gageac in October, and I wonder if anyone has eaten recently at la Plume d'Oie. We've had mixed experiences there in the past, while we've always eaten very well at la Belle Etoile, where we have res. for our first night. I've followed a couple of recent threads here and have also made res. at le Saint Martial, based on the advice of Carlux, I believe. I'm also curious about Le Presidial in Sarlat, where we had a delightful lunch a couple of years ago. Thanks for the help, and aloha.

I'd be tempted to just eat at Belle twice. I didn't eat at Plume when we were there, but many people we know have eaten there recently, and said it's the same; still very good.

A week or so ago my mother-in-law ate at at Bistrot d'Epicure in nearby Castels for her birthday. (Belle was booked) She thought it was extremely good. Having just been there and missed a chance to eat there I didn't really want to hear it!

Christy, we ate at les Jardins d'Epicure and definitely want to try its replacement, the Bistrot d'Epicure. And we have reserved twice at Belle, both for our first night and a week later, for my birthday. Luckily, with 2 weeks there, we'll be able to try several restaurants, although we'll cook at home too. Thanks for the suggestions.

You might want to contact Caitlin at la Tour de Cause, which is quite close to La Roque Gageac.

We stopped going because of 'mixed experience' but as far as I know Marc is still cooking, and I assume, cooking as well as ever.

Thanks, Carlux, I will get in touch with Caitlin. I did notice that la Plume d'Oie is not on their list of favorite restaurants.
