We go to Sedona quite often. Once we were there at the beginning of March and there was still snow in the forest north of Sedona and the Grand Canyon was quite cold and windy. I can't guarantee that that's always the case since we were just there this past month and it was very warm and windy. As you probably know, the snowfall in the Western U.S. is really unpredictable from year to year. If you really want to have some snow I would suggest someplace like Lake Tahoe or Yosemite or maybe Taos, NM, where there is almost always snow in April. Sedona is lovely however at any time of the year and one of our favorite places.

I was there at the end of April this year. In Sedona, it poured rain our first night, was cloudy the next day and cool intown. We drove to the Grand Canyon and back that day and it was pretty chilly the whole way, but no snow except on top of the mountain by Flagstaff. The following day had beautiful, warm weather.

There are no guarantees with weather. We went to Sedona this past Feb. & everyone said we were nuts. The week before we left, we had an unusually warm spell in the northeast, and it was snowing in Sedona & Grand Canyon. So now we were really concerned. The next week, when we were there, it snowed back home, was in the 60's in glorious Sedona (in Feb!!) and in the low 50's at the Grand Canyon. Go figure.
