Arizona in Feb

Flying into Phoenix, staying in Chandler Feb 10 to 14. We have booked rooms at the Windmill Inn, renting a car, 4 adults and 3 teenagers. We want to go to Sedona and the Painted Desert, can that be done in one day? Also, looking for horseback riding, any suggestions? What kind of weather should we expect?
thanks

Sedona can be done in a day, easily from Phoenix. Grand Canyon can be done in a long day. Painted Desert is quite a hike, more than I would consider fun for less in the way of scenery than either Sedona or Grand Canyon. In February, once you get up to I-40 you can get anything in the way of weather, including snow, which they have been having lots of this year. I've also been there in February when a light jacket was all I needed.

Too much to do in one day.

For horseback riding, search this forum. I know I have answered the question before.

Stick with Sedona, Oak Creek Canyon, Jerome....Painted Desert too far for a day trip.

Please check the weather before you come. I would bring more than a light jacket. Flagstaff and the area up north have been hit with lots of snow lately.
