United deals Maui-LAX

FYI--I just booked a flight in Aug from OGG to LAX for $332 total-all taxes and fees. There were seats available in July and September for the same fare. I booked it through Yahoo Travel using the My dates are flexible option. The fare just popped up a few minutes ago. I had been looking at ATA flights all day and was trying to make their $400 fare fit into my schedule when the United deal popped up.

Apparently United has this same fare from LAX to OGG, with seats available until June 1 of next year. Looks like I'll be getting some use out of my guest room over the next few months!

Here Today -
These are one-way and not round-trip quotes? I'm thinking of booking Delta from Little Rock to LAX next summer and then using another airline to get from LAX to OGG. (I know this sounds weird and perhaps prohibitively expensive, but Delta has the worst times leaving OGG and it might be a way to break up the trip a bit, perhaps even spending the night at LAX going home.) If we could use Skymiles for the Delta part of the trip, it might just be doable...

Crazy, that is round trip. I have family who stop in LA for a few days on their way here. Gee, anyone in the DC area could do the DCA to LAX on NWA and the United to OGG for a total of about $500.

Did you book it online or call them? Just looking at their website, they were quoting over $1200. per person for August!

Oh, sorry! I forgot that you had already told us about Yahoo Travel. I've never used that site but will in the future! The prices on the United website are always so ridiculous that I had written them off.

I like yahoo because of the "My dates are flexible" feature. It gives you the cheapest fare and then shows you what dates are available for those dates. It beats the heck out of pkugging in random dates in hopes you hit the advertised fare.
