Two Boulder, CO questions

1) What would be considered the best restaurant in Boulder? 2) Where would a young couple likely to registered for wedding gifts in stores located in Boulder or the Boulder area?

The Flagstaff House (flagstaffhouse.com) is the best restaurant! It's on a mountain overlooking Boulder. The food is inventive and delicious!

The best gift store in Boulder is Peppercorn on the Pearl Street pedestrian mall. Fabulous selection of kitchen ware, china, cookbooks, coffees, specialty foods and linens. They probably have a website. A great intown restaurant is Dandelion, but I agree with the above poster about Flagstaff House--what views! And the food is great, too. A short drive up into the mountains.

I have also heard Flagstaff house is wonderful. Although local stores are fun to register at, Boulder also has a mall with Department stores such as Foley's and probably Dillards(I am not that familiar with Boulder mall). If you have a lot of out of town guests coming to a wedding you probably want to register at one nationwide store or one that has many locations. Usually the malls here have William Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrell...

Missy,

Suzanne is absolutely right; the Flagstaff House is positively the best restaurant in Boulder. It's a four-star, four diamond property which serves continental cuisine and commands incredible views of the city of Boulder. Their wine list is as fine and extensive as they get and the food and service are exceptional.

If you are really looking for a memorable experience, the FH is the place to go. Brings lots of $$$$.

I'll 4th the Flagstaff House. Went there for a 52nd anniversary dinner two weeks ago. Gorgeous drive and view and they really make your evening a special occasion. $250+ for dinner for 4.

I ate snake and buffalo at the Flagstaff House, chased down with a tasty Shiraz while watching the nighttime descend on the town. Stupendous.
