I don't think it is would be considered in the the top 3 but I really enjoy the Banyan Veranda restaurant at the Old Moana Surfrider hotel in Waikiki. Just lovely.

Maui... Again not "top" anything but I liked walking around Lahaina town and just picking an appealing looking place.

Maui:
Mama's Fish House (lunch, rather than dinner)

O`ahu:
Karen's Kitchen or Rainbow Drive-Inn (for traditional Hawaiian plate lunch)
Moana Surfrider's Banyan Veranda (especially Sunday Brunch!)
Chai's Bistro (Aloha Tower Marketplace)

And if $$$ is no object, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse (Honolulu), The Hilton Hotel's Bali-by-the-Sea, or the Halekulani Hotel's La Mer

The annual `Ilima Awards salute O`ahu's top restaurants. Here's the list of 2005 winners:

Definetly, NICK'S FISH MARKET. Expensive, but worth every penny. It is a wonderful experience.

Also, Leilani's at Whaler's Village. Fish Tacos, Onion Strings and Hula Pie (plan to share, at least the pie!).

Top Maui Restaurants:

Sarento's on the Beach -- for a very nice, upscale meal. Had the best dinner of my life there.

Leilani's -- for yummy drinks and a great sunset view

Gazebo -- for breakfast. yummy!

Nick's Fishmarket at the Fairmont Kea Lani Hotel in the Wailea area. It is out of this world, and the service is not to be believed. As others have mentioned, it is expensive but worth every penny.

A good Mai Tai and some wonderful, but unidentifiable bread spread!:

One of the best meals I've ever had....would LOVE to have another one of those salads!

Top Oahu:

1) Orchid at the Halekulani is wonderful. The coconut cake is to die for... go early to listen to the bassist and hula dancer.

2) Alan Wong's or Roy's is also great.

3) I love Ono Hawaiian food. Not fancy, just traditional Hawaiian food.
