S4842: We have no budget for our foods, but must be delicious and fresh.
We are staying at Halekulani in Honolulu and Four Seasons in Maui.

The Sunday brunch at Orchids in the Halekulani is very good, nice atmosphere with varied selection of western, local and asian food.

Another vote for Nicks and also Sarentos on the Beach. We had the most delicious dinners at each in July. (At Sarentos my hubby had the osso buco and I had the shrimp - both standard menu choices and both were so-o-o good). Yum!

In Maui we ate at the Sea Watch restaurant at Wailea Gold course. Ask for a table outside with a beautiful view of the ocean. Get there to watch sunset. Food is great; view is spectacular.

Alan Wong's - nobody does high-end Pacific Rim cuisine better.

Don't miss Roy's - two locations in Maui, Wailea and Kahana, and probably one on Oahu. Beautiful presentation and outstanding food!!!!

Hope you have time to celebrate that anniversary as you certainly are trying to cover a LOT. You are going to be spending quite a bit of time just getting to and from the airports and your hotels. The days that you are requesting activities for, you might just chill and enjoy your surroundings.

Congratulations and Aloha!!!

I would recommend the Bay Club (phenominal view) and great food in Kapalua. And I second the recomendation for the Sea Watch (we had our groom's dinner there - it was recommended by the Four Seasons where we stayed and were married!).

Hi sillywin,

We also stayed at the Halekulani when we visited Oahu - I think you'll really enjoy the peaceful calm of this place within the hustle/bustle of Waikiki. I would echo other's comments re: Nick's Fishmarket in Oahu - we ate there and it was great. Since you're staying at the Halekulani and if you like French food you may want to try Le Mer - top notch food (expensive, but good) - or Orchids at Halekulani (also great food and a bit more affordable than Le Mer). We also ate at Duke's while in Oahu and although the quality of food isn't as good as Le Mer, Nick's or Orchids, it was still quite good - friendly atmosphere and great hula/mud pie.

As for Maui, gosh there are so many great places to eat. Here are my favorites:
* Roy's (there use to be two: Nicolina and Kxxxxx (can't remember), but now there is just Kxxxxx - excellent food, lacking in atmosphere - it's in Kahana Gateway Shopping Center)
* Sansei in Kapalua
* Pacific'O and I'0 - sister restaurants
* Mama's Fish House
* Plantation House Restaurant (Kapalua)

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Tracey

Went to Alan Wong's place last week and found it good, inventive and over-priced. Go to 3660 on the Rise for a gourmet meal which will be pricey, but more than worth it. Our waiter was attentive, but not hovering and made several noteworthy suggestions for menu changes to accomodate a non-tolerant-to-hot spices palate. Also highly recommended would be a dinner at House Without a Key at the Halekulani. Truly beautiful view of the sunset and lovely menu, easier on the wallet than Orchids or La Mer. Happy trip!
