hear the whales singing!!!

Hi just thought I would share this page. It's a live bouy in the water at Kihei Maui.
I have no connection to it just thought you all would like to listen, especially if you are going soon!! 13 more days for us!!! Aloha! www.whalesong.net

Thanks for the link - I leave for Maui in 3 weeks and can't wait to hear/see the whales.

I haven't decided yet whether I should take a boat trip out to see the whales or if I'll be happy to see them from McGregor Point. Any opinions?

Cleo, thanks for the link. That is so cool! Another way to hear the whales songs is when snorkeling. With your ears below the water, breathe quietly thru the snorkel tube and you should hear the whales. We heard them off Kaanapali Beach. It was awesome!

We were scuba diving off of Molokini a few years ago and a pod came by close enough we could hear them underwater. We weren't able to see them, but I will never forget the sound. Very erie!

Barbara, we sailed with scotch mist. It's a smaller company it's a 50 foot sail boat. So you also get to sail at the same time. I liked it cause it's smaller most people from here seem to like to go with the whale foundation. They have a bigger boat with people who know allot about whales, either way they have lots to choose from in Lahaina have fun 12 more days for us!!!!

I've also heard them by simply floating quietly on my back with my ears submerged. The whales were off Wailea beach but you could her them quite clearly. Amazing!

Cleo - did you make advance reservations with scotch mist? Have you made advance reservations for any other excursion/dinner, etc.

Thanks!
