You can probably use Priceline to get a room on-property at either the Dolphin or Swan, which are not owned and operated by WDW resorts. Or you can go on the Disney web site to see what might be available (I don't think they offer last-minute discounts). There are also several hotels on Disney property that are a bit further away, beyond Downtown Disney, and these might also be available on Priceline or on the hotel companies' web sites. Before you bid on a WDW hotel on Priceline, check out www.biddingfortravel.com to see about the ins and outs of doing this.
There are many cheap hotels within easy driving distance of WDW in Kissimmee, and those are always cheap. But if you really want to stay in a Disney hotel, then I think your first stop should be the Disney site.

Hello k_999_9
When are you going?
What is your budget?
Onsite/offsite?
There are numerous room categories/hotel styles on Disney property.
The Value resorts on Disney property (Pop Century, All Star resorts) provide just that, great value, IMO. You can get a room there in low season for well under $80/night. In peak season, much higher.
But for some, a "good deal" (as you say) would be getting a room at, for example, the Beach Club for only $250.
In nearby Kissimmee and along the interstate, you will find
hotels from Motel 6 to the Gaylord Palms, in all price ranges.
This is why it is important to know your parameters.
I would suggest you visit www.mousesavers.com or www.disboards.com for more resort/hotel information. Also, the Disney site, as Doug mentioned. All good, informative and helpful resources.
Happy travels!

I'd call the Disney folks themselves (1-407-WDISNEY)
There are spring specials right now. For example, at the Animal Kingdom Lodge (one of their Deluxe Resorts), you can get a room for $179, well within your budget.
Or was that $300 to include park tickets for the day as well?

Go to disneyworld.com. At the bottom of the page there is an offer for Room Only rates for certain dates in April and May. Click on it and go from there. Or, just call Disney at 407-W-Disney and ask them about their room only specials for April.
I would recommend a hotel in the Epcot area - Beach Club/Yacht Club or Boardwalk Inn.
