the Homestead

We are thinking about a family reunion this summer or fall. Is the Homestead kid friendly. The kids are ages 6 years to 16 years. Will there be a lot of things to do as a family? We are not that interested in the kids club?
Thank you Denise

Denise:

You need to be more specific. Where is the Homestead?

If you mean the Homestead in Virginia, do a text search with Homestead and a subject search with Virginia.

Denise: are you referring to The Homestead in Michigan? Please note when posting that when picking the state, it doesn't show up in your question - it only helps when doing a search....

The Homestead in Michigan is rather nice and definitely kid friendly (provided your kids are into nature (vs video).

There are all sorts of activities for families. Keep in mind though that some will be an extra charge. The last time we went my husband attended a fly-tying class while my son and I went on a fantastic mountain bike ride down the mountain, while the guys were playing golf the girls went on a beautiful nature hike. There was also bowling, an indoor pool, movies in theater, etc. Don't do a la carte. It does save to buy packages.

Denise,

Went in December for 40th birthday with 2 of my sisters. Incredible property and fantastic spa. There were very few children when we went, but it appeared that they definitely cater to families with children. The property is gorgeous and they have the typical activities - hiking, golf, swimming, tennis, etc. in the summer. Some of the restaurants both on the property and in the small town would be find for kids. Hope this helps!
