Thanksgiving on the Big Island

Our family will be staying at the Mauna Kea resort over Thanksgiving...looking for a reasonable restaurant Thanksgiving dinner or a store/caterer that has prepared dinners. Thanks for your help...

I'd check with Bamboo in Hawi to see if they are doing anything special. Lot's of true aloha there~

Safeway (Kailua-Kona) has entire Thanksgiving dinners for pickup (I'd bet that Bamboo is already fully booked). There's always a turkey sandwich on the beach...sigh.

I'd also try Huli Sue's new restaurant: their food is great: http://hulisues.com/Mauna-Lani-Menu.html

Hi, we spent Thanksgiving on the Big Island about 12 years ago and got a pretty good Thanksgiving dinner: turkey and all the fixings, at Denny's near Kailua-Kona. I can't remember exactly where it is located but the view and the sunset was spectacular. The food was not too bad and we had a really friendly waitress. I am so envious...
