St. Helens Hotel

I'll be in St. Helens for work next week, and am looking for an alternative to the Best Western in town.

Has anyone had any experience or perspective to add about:

Scappoose Creek Inn (Scappoose)
McCormick Hotel
Orcadia Hotel
???

I know this query is a bit of a stretch for this board, but I thought I would try since my attempts to find info online have been futile. Thanks!

Let me clarify that I'm talking about St. Helens, Oregon.

Please keep in mind that it has been 19 years since I lived there but I would say to stay away from the Orcadia. When I lived there, the Orcadia is where old men and crazy people lived.

It looks to me like the Best Western is really your best - newest - option. The Village Inn is older, probably built in the 60's or early 70's. I've had lunch at the Scappoose Creek Inn and it is probably a charming enough place to stay. Did you see the website: www.scappoosecreekinn.com

There is also a B&B in St. Helens called the Ruby Ranch Inn - it looks kind of nice. www.rubyranchgiftbaskets.com has the link to the B&B

Bing's Restaurant had decent Chinese food when I lived there. We were too small for McDonalds until long after I left so my happiest childhood memories all have Burgerville hamburgers in them. Coincidentally, I just taught my daughter the old Burgerville jingle on Sunday. The Warren Country Inn (between Scappoose & St. Helens) was where my boyfriend (now husband) would take me for a nice date but we were small town kids - it probably wasn't that great on a global scale.

I don't know where you are coming from but the river, down by the courthouse, always seemed beautiful to me.

Thanks for the helpful responses. I did stay at the Best Western, and enjoyed a meal from El Tapatio.
