St Gregory's vs Residence Inn w/4 kids

I have reservations at Residence Inn (2BR/2 BA) for the duration of our 5 day stay mid-October. However, St Gregory's offers a great weekend rate of $119 per room for AAA members. (We would need 2 rooms) Am wondering if it would be worth changing hotels "mid-stream" to stay at St Gregory's. Any thoughts??

I can't fathom packing up four kids to move hotels.

Forgot these threads show up anywhere in the general population as well as under the topic I'm searching.. (Still a Fodor's newby). Washington DC is the destination.

Know nothing about St. Gregory's - but Residence Inns usually offer kitchen and ofter free breakfast - both essential when traveling with kids.

Also agree - stay put - why change hotels to save a few dollars.

I'm with the others here. Don't move 4 kids to save a few bucks.

And the St. Gregory, while a nice hotel, is not so special nor is the location so great that it's worth packing up the kids and moving, thus wasting a couple of hours you could be sleeping or being a tourist.

I guess I should have mentioned....the kids are 4,7,11 and 14. Not TOO big a deal to move them if the St Gregory was going to be an exceptional experience but no one has responded to that effect. As always, thanks for the advice. This site has been a God-send in all aspects of our travel planning.
