Spring Break in St. Loius with 2 little kids
We are going to St. Louis for Spring Break the first week of April with our 6 and 3 year old. We were wondering what some "little" kid-friendly things are to do and especially places to eat. We plan on going to the arch and zoo. Is Spring Break a busy time for St. Lo?
We will be staying at the Drury at the Arch. Any places to eat near our hotel within walking distance that are kid-friendly? Also, what's the weather typically like then? Thanks!

The riverboat McD's is long gone, as I understand it.
Too bad Grant's Farm isn't open then--it's great fun for little ones.
The Science Center is wonderful.
If the weather is nice, go to the Missouri Botanical Gardens...beautiful for exploring.
Purina has a farm west of the city with pet exhibits, farm animals, etc.
The transportation museum is fun too, especially for little boys...my vehicle-obsessed-at-the-time DS loved it.

Absolutely try to go to the City Museum! It is an absolutely wonderful place for children. www.citymuseum.org. I was simply amazed by it. Words don't really do it justice.

I remember taking our kids to St. Louis for the first time when they were only 6 and 4 years old. We've taken them back many times since then and still visit a few times a year - it's a pretty special place for us.
Aside from the Citi Museum and the Science Museum mentioned above, do go to the St. Louis Children's Museum http://www.magichouse.org/.

The kids will be thrilled to see the Clydesdale Horses at the Budweiser tour http://www.budweisertours.com/z01/in...ouis/overview/.

Besides the normal mainstream attractions, try incredible pizza place for entertaining kids. check their website for specials.

You must fo to the St Louis Zoo - Free Admission.
There are some decent places to eat inside the zoo.
While you are in Forest Park - You could go to the Boat House for lunch or dinner. It sits on a lake and you can rent paddle boats and work off your lunch! There are ducks to feed and it is very kid friendly!
There are many restaurants in Forest Park - A wonderful at the ARt Museum, History Muesum, the Golf house etc...
Blueberry Hill is the U CIty loop area is popular - at lunch - for kids! At night it is more of a bar atmosphere! This is where Chuck Berry plays!! The owner has a HUGE collection of memorabilia that is fascinating for all ages!

Definitely the Magic House. I grew up visiting my grandparents, who lived next door to it in Kirkwood. Took our daughter a couple years ago and was amazed by how much they'd added. Could have spent lots more time there.
We ate at Laclede's Landing. Went early and sat outdoors (weather-permitting). Just checked for kid-friendly menus posted outside. Took turns walking around with her while waiting for food.

City Museum has fun things for all ages. The climbing would be better for the 6 yo.
Go to Turtle Park, just south of the Zoo, across the highway bridge at Tamm Dr.
