Shows in Las Vegas
When and where can I find what shows or acts will be in Las Vegas from July 6-9, 2007? Also, what shows are good for a 13 and 15 yr old? They have already seen blue man group, phantom of the opera and we will rock you.

Go to visitlasvegas.com. This is the official web site of the Las Vegas Visitors bureau. You can search "What's Happening" by date range for shows, both permanent or semi-permanent long running shows and headliners. Keep in mind that some performers will be added over time, and that the period after the 4th may be a bit fallow.

For 13-15 year olds I would suggest the following:
Lance Burton - magic
Mac King - magic & commedy
Ron Lucas - ventriloquist
Carrot Top - comedy
Ka - Cirque
Rick Thomas - magic
Spamalot - Monty Python
Popovich Comedy Pet Theatre

The Popovich pet show is horrible. Not the animals themselves, but the show in general and the theater. It's a small/cramped theater with folding seats. We love animals and cats in particular so we went, we regret spending the money (even a discount does not make up for it).
Most of the show is "circus/magic" stuff, juggling, women disappearing, etc. It gets old fast. The animal portion is very short.
I suppose it would amuse small children, but it's not worth the money when there are so many better shows around.
Also, you have to stand in line (unless you pay more for "preferred seating" - which from what we saw is not that great either) as it is General Seating, NOT reserved. Ushers point you to the next seat as they fill up the rows. Since the place is so small it is actually better to sit in the back row (they have some kind of stools there that elevate you over the heads of other people .. that is where we sat).

I am surprised noone has suggested "O", cirque de soleil. It is an excellent show provided you get some good seats in the middle and as center as you can. Its not cheap but it is well worth the money.
Another cirque show that is newer and not as expensive is Le Reve, it is fabulous! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time ! It was outstanding! I think they would really like this one.

If they liked Blue Man Group, Stomp could be a good option. It's opening up next month in Planet Hollywood (nee Aladdin)
