Here's a link to his website. A picture in this case does say 1000 words.

BTW, not mocking him. I think his show is great fun.

For the stereotypical Vegas style show, see Jubilee! at Bally's. It has a hundred show girls (and guys), some great costumes and scenery.
Any of the 5 Cirque du Soleil shows should be a consideration, but would vary with your particular tastes.
There are a number of free shows (like the Sirens of TI at TI (Treasure Island)), that can be fun.
See the Masquerade Show in the Sky at the Rio, too.
Since you will be there for Spring Break, I highly recommend spending some time at Harrah's Carnival Court having some drinks, checking out the people and listening to a band. The bartenders are great and put on a good show.

For a typical Las Vegas style show with showgirls I recommend Splash. For a magic show I recommend Lance Burton. For an impressionist show I would see Danny Gans. For a cirque show I would see Mystere. If you want a casual/relaxing/get drunk experience any of the hotel lounges have free entertainment. Ryan mentioned Cook E Jarr (I didn't even know he was still performing). I saw him a few times about 15 years ago and he was a fun time then. The lounge at the Mirage (under the atrium) is usually always very good music/entertainment.

Danny Gans? You are actually suggesting that someone spend $100 on a ticket to see an impressionist over Spring Break?? I'm thinking that Spring Break means a lower budget (but I could be very wrong).
Is Splash still playing? I thought it closed a while ago (or at least was revised and changed names).

After re-reading vegasnative's post, I think I understand. He hasn't actually been to Vegas in a while.
The bar at the Mirage closed about a year ago while the Mirage remodelled and added some restaurants. The bar mentioned no longer exists. There is still a nice bar in the atrium at the entrance to Kokomo's, and another bar for Japonais (which is physically where he was thinking) but Ava (which is what he was talking about) is gone.
Have Fun.

Manduss~actually I have lived in Vegas my entire life up until a month ago. I was not referring to a "bar" inside the Mirage, but it is a lounge under the atrium and the last time I was there it was still there. And, YES, I would highly recommend Danny Gans to anyone, he is amazing. I have seen hime about 4-5 times and I would still go see him again, he is that incredible!

A lounge with entertainment under the atrium at the Mirage. That would have fit Ava perfectly. Japonais which now has that spot as its lounge does not have entertainment (live music) like Ava used to have. Do you have a name for the lounge you are thinking of?

Back to the shows ...
You can find a wide variety of shows with half price tickets available at Tix4Tonite and another line of half price ticket sellers with locations at Fashion Show Mall (across from TI & Wynn), the Hawaiian Marketplace (between the Aladdin and MGM Grand), and a few other places. You won't find tickets to Cirque or the very high end shows there, but you can find great deals on the mid line shows.

Also you may want to consider shows that will be leaving Vegas soon, such as Mamma Mia and Celine. I have seen Mamma Mia and it was great! My DH did not want to go at all, but by the end he was up clapping, dancing, it truely is terrific. I have not seen Celine, but hear it too is amazing. I think Celine is finished the end of this year and Mamma Mia ends next summer.

The town is getting Circus O Layed to death. 7 shows and the last couple have been aweful KA is the worst.
There are only 2 Cir shows worht the over priced tickets. O and Mystere.
You have spamalot and Producers. Plus a whole range of smaller shows that are worth the money.
Depends on your tatse. Spring break, means younger set... Look around for what trips your trigger.... Musical, adult,.. comedy... its here
or just grab a street corner and people watch. Thats the best show.
