Sea World Hotels

We will be taking our 3 and 6 yo children to Sea World in February (Pres Day weekend). We prefer a two bedroom + living room and kitchen suite (like Marriott Residence Inns). There is a Residence Inn within 10 miles or so. I am not sure if we are going to do 3 whole days at Sea World, but we might. Is there any hotel that has these amenities (2 separate rooms plus separate living room) that is closer?

The hotels within a mile of Sea World (Paradise Point,Hilton, Dana Inn and Hyatt) do not have that set-up. There is a nice Residence Inn in Mission Valley which is pretty close to Sea World, about 2-3 miles. Plus with that location you could get around San Diego pretty easily. Another great choice is the Hilton Homewood Suites in Liberty Station (Point Loma section of sd) It's a new hotel with great rooms and is walking distance to several restaurants and grocery stores. Plus there is a park your children may like nearby. It is about 10 minutes away from Sea World There are other hotels in the Mission Valley/Hotel Circle area but I do not know if they have suites.

3 days at Sea World might be too much for your children. The zoo might also be a nice alternative.

Which SEaworld? There is a reasonable condo complex that has 2 bdrm units right near Seaworld in Orlando (the Parc Corniche). Don't forget to look at VRBO.

If you look right under the thread title, you'll see that the OP has tagged this one with California.

itsv gave you good info.

I would stay at Homewood suites Liberty Station.
Nice park next door, great little restaurants, Vons grocery very nearby (bring your Safeway Discount card), AAA 5% discount.

Point Loma and Shelter Is are great neigborhoods. (Shelter IS has a grassy park like environment right on the bay with views of downtown San Diego and picnic tables and play grounds for kids: really nice walking path.

I live here so if you want more info let me know

good place for dinner with young kids is Souplantation in the Shelter Island area. It's an all-you-can-eat place with lot of fun food for kids (pizza, pasta, fruit, make-your-own sundaes) and great salads and soups for adults. It should be about $9 per adult and about $5 per child.

I've never stayed there as I live in San Diego but the Liberty Station is handy to a couple of places to stock the kitchen, Trader Joes, Henry's (for fruits and veggies) and if your into organic it's not a long drive to the Ocean Beach People's market. There you can find prepared food.

Plus, there are plenty of places to eat in the area that will please the kids and not break your budget.

Enjoy your stay.
