San Francisco - No. 1 Rated City!

Readers of Conde Nast Traveller have voted San Francisco the number one US city to visit - for the 13th year in a row!

30,000 readers can't be wrong. Drop on by in the near future - we'd love to see you.

We know that you have many choices for your destination when travelling and we appreciate you choosing our city.

(I'd thank the Academy, but that's Southern California) ;-)

That was hands down the most obnoxious sign in for 5 lines of print I've ever experienced.

I signed in as an American Idol winner.

Oops, sorry - that was annoying. I had ended up there from a Google News link that went directly to the story.

But if you think that was bad - I visited Conde Nast Traveller at concierge.com and there are all these crazy pop-over ads (you know the kind where a sportscar drives across your screen, etc.). I thought one was cute, until I was clicking "close" on the fourth ad. Talk about overkill.

Here's the same story as the San Jose Mercury News - but at a different site:

Thanks!

What makes me so proud is that our tiny little city of Charleston, SC even makes that list every year considering the heavy hitters it is up against!

As a fourth generation native of San Jose - I will only say that it's a nice place to live - though obviously not a top tourist destination.

Can't beat the fireworks on 4th of July though.
