San Francisco, Bay Area, Petaluma - GET TOGETHER

Hello, all! Do you think it's crazy to plan a GTG 6 months in advance? Mark your calendars: April 23, 2006. Visitors, there is an easy public transportation connection by bus which I intend to take, so everybody can join.

Of course local help is needed as to when, where and how.

"April 23 - Petaluma Butter and Egg Days
Festival, Family Fun: Join the citizens of Petaluma in a celebration of yesterday, today and tomorrow. This event consistently draws a broad based and family-oriented crowd of over 30,000 from all parts of the North Bay Area. The main component is a parade with over 2,000 participants strolling twelve blocks through the downtown streets of Petaluma. The Butter & Egg Days Parade and Celebration is held in Historic Downtown Petaluma, CA."

From what I remember the parade is funny for most parts, there was a cute little chicken contest, parade of vintage cars and vintage fair.

I think 2006 parade will be on Sunday instead of Saturday... plan accordingly!

This time cholesterol, blood pressure, headache, stomach problems, liver, kidney (lost or found), lack of transportation, family matters and birthdays will not be accepted as excuses!

It is with great remorse that I must inform you that I will not be available to attend the GTG while we are having a grand celebration marking the birthday of William Shakespeare.

You are all invited and certainly welcome to join the festivities held at the DeYoung Museum, SF.

Pammer, Don't worry...I dropped by an aviary and brought a condor.

PP, What's a "museum"? Is it one of those invisible bugs that bites you?:-?

We'd probably be there unless we are in NY. Not sure of dates yet. But Petaluma is SO close -- half hour drive for us.

I will need to re-post this with the date in the subject line.

After Yountville, as this is still 5 months away.
