San Francisco – Bay Area GTG proposal January 6 Friday.

Hello, everybody, I am posting this on every forum.
Our fellow poster Kathleen will be visiting. She'd love to meet other posters, and so do I.

Kathy will be here:
Sonoma area December 29-31
Monterey area January 1-3
San Francisco January 4-7

January 6 is Friday, (January 7 is departure day, may be not convenient) so what do you say, can we meet?

Kathy, what areas are you familiar with? Will downtown be convenient?

Let's see who else is coming. Will parking or BARTing be in issue?
My e-mail: [email protected]

Just set up to be in San Antonio at that time (so I can thaw out!) But one of these days, I'm going to make one of these events.

FainaAgain, you thinking of lunch or dinner? I can do lunch if it's downtown San Francisco (I work there). Just let me know where and what time. I have never been to a GTG before, so I don't know what is expected.

Faina - What happened to the Yountville Thanksgiving GTG? Kal hasn't responded to the questions I left on those threads.

Where is that rascal Kal, anyway? Did he jump ship or what? My computer no longer levitates with his energy.

The Yountville GTG did not happen due to not enough people available. Unfortunately I have to work on 1/6 or I'd be there.

I think the Yountville GTG was cancelled due to no one being able to make it after all.
I think Kal is recovering from a Birthday celebration.
Or this could all be a hallucination

Seamus, "simultaneous GTG" ? sounds kinky

Faina, which Kathleen is visiting?
What fun, wish we could be there..

I'll be in SF that week and might have a few hours open on Friday Afternoon (Need to be back at the hotel by 3:30 or 4)

Not 100% sure I can make it but probably better than 50/50. Lunch in the general Union Square/Chinatown area would be best for me, but anywhere downtown is OK.

I can make it. I work in Mountain View so I can take off and drive up for lunch or dinner. Sounds like fun. Keep me posted. [email protected].

Seamus, I will be in the Riverwalk area but I don't have a lot of time to play with. If you (or anyone else who will be in San Antonio) want to get together for lunch on Friday, January 6, that would be fine with me. E-mail (replace the "Xs": Standby4321 @ yahoo.XXX) -- or post here and perhaps we can coordinate something.

My Fodorite's life is falling apart

Unfortunately, Kathleen has cancelled. Are we still on?

Kal... he's getting ready for a twin GTG in Hawaii. Let them have him

Yountville didn't happen. I asked to pick me up as a hitchhiker, this must've scared people off, so there was no hitchin'

I think Kal still checks Fodor's and posts like once a month. He's not alone not to come here any longer... what happened to their addiction?

Anybody knows of a bar in the Union Square area? January 6, 6 pm - will this work for us?

Unfortunately, I can't make it at lunch time, but if you guys decide to meet early, go ahead, just post a report

We're still going to SF area, same time period as planned. I emailed Faina and thanked her for trying to organize something, but since we weren't getting much interest (US board), I implied we should drop it. Perhaps I was hasty. We're still able to attend something, and it would be very nice. I guess we'll see.

No Budman, not sticking around for the Myrtle Beach GTG. San Francisco and wine awaits.

Kathleen - you'll find the Europe forum is more active - even for Bay area GTG info.

If you and Faina, baby2, LindaL, whoever, meet at/after 5 or 6 p.m. I can't make it -- I'll be at the early show of Beach Blanket Babylon . If you can get something organized, have a great time!

(If it works out for a lunchtime GTG, I can probably make it - but don't change any plans to accomodate me since it isn't certain)
