San Diego, Which Hotel??

We may be going to San Diego for a few days in October. We stayed at the Marriott Resort and Marina on our last trip and thought it was wonderful. The pool area was great and that is important to us. How is the Hyatt Islandia right near the Marriott? How is the pool area?

Dawn, the Hyatt near the Marriott Resort and Marina is the Manchester Grand Hyatt, not the Islandia. Which do you mean?

Barbara, you are indeed correct. We will have a choice between the Manchester Grand Grand Hyatt and the Marriott. I will be taking my 15 year old son and my husband will be attending a meeting, so the pool is a bigger deal than the amenities that would appeal to an adults only vacation. Thanks for responding so quickly. Which one do you think is best?

Dawn I'm not familiar with the pool areas at either hotel. I would suggest that if you really liked the Marriott and its pool area, then go there. At least you know what to expect.

Barbara,

Is you husband attending the WorldatWork conference? I am going also. Based on the weather reports I'm seeing, I don't think the pool will be a big draw. It looks cool and wet.

LisaB: no, I live in San Diego. Our weather is cooler than normal these days. We had rain this past weekend, but that is very unusual for May. I hope it's nice and warm while you're here!
