I am travelling to san diego in may can anyone reccomed a cheap hotel on the beach preferably on Mission bay>> thank you joan

There is a Best Western, a Days Inn and a Best value Inn in that area. The Best Western is within walking distance of the beach.

I just checked the Hilton Mission Bay and they had a $139.00 rate. The "cheap" hotels are running between $70.00 and $100.00. It may be better to pay for the known property.

I've stayed at the Holiday Inn there- it was decent and a reasonable price.

I have stayed at the Best Western but I wouldnt say its cheap - however there is a hotel right across the street from the BW that looked like a surfers hang
out and I would guess would be cheaper-
you could call the BW and ask about the hotel across the street

I just looked up on the internet and the hotel across from the Best Western
is the Surfer Beach Hotel -
