Romantic Inns near Jay Peak Vermont
Looking for a place that might have a pretty room with wood-burning fireplace and jacuzzi bath-tub on the one hand for a couple, but also simpler rooms for friends that don't want all the bells and whistles. Please help quick! This is for Presidents Day weekend!

I confess to not knowing where Jay Peak is (!) -- sorry. However, check out the Maple Leaf Inn, Barnard, VT. (Not far from Woodstock.)
That B&B is wonderful, with a real fireplace in each room that is all set with a fire. Just open the damper and strike a match -- truly. We stayed there two nights and each night it was that easy!
They also had a hot tub, and HEATED FLOORS in the bathrooms -- very nice!
Breakfast was lovely, too. Run by a nice couple from Oklahoma last time we were there a ytear or so ago.
Good luck!

Oh dear, no one has any ideas? I'm afraid there isn't much near Jay eak, which is northernmost Vermont almost near the border to Canada. We have found The English Rose Inn which looks OK, but I was hoping for something a bit more special.

You might want to check out the WilloughVale Inn - it's about 35 miles from Jay so it might be too far but they have lovely luxury rooms and cottages with fireplaces and jacuzzis plus very reasonable rates on the simpler rooms you're looking for. It's on Lake Willoughby, which is one of the most gorgeous spots in Vermont in my opinion. I think the web site is www.willoughvale.com.
Good luck and have fun!

Jay Peak is located in Orleans County, on the Canadian border. Check out the town of Montgomery. There are a couple inns there, one of which is called the Black Lantern. The other...Phinneas something I think. You can probably find them on tripadvisor.
The Willoughvale is really nice, as is the Wildflower Inn in Lyndonville, which is a few miles from Burke Mountain Ski Area.
Would you consider staying in Quebec? The Eastern Townships (the part of QC that borders that part of Vermont are gorgeous and there are many inns & b&bs. Manior Hovey in N. Hatley is really nice.

Thank you Wolfhound! We are reserving the WilloughVale Inn for Memorial Day weekend (we already made plans with friends for Presidents Day weekend at Mt Snow Vermont). It looks absolutely gorgeouS! Thanks so much for the suggestion!
