Sometimes I do not think.....lol

My sisters and I are going up to Door County for our usual sisters weekend in Sept. I thought I would see what there is too see on this site since I am always looking at the Europe sites for information.

I agree about the Greenwood. Mostly locals who are there but the food was awesome. I second White Gull Inn for breakfast. The stuffed french toast is famous. The Village Cafe in Egg Harbor for lunch or breakfast is also good. We did Summer Kitchen for lunch which is past Sister Bay.

After 4 years we still have never made it to the Sister Bay Bowl. Heard that is very good. We did do Al Johnson's but once was enough. Mission Grille was also good.

I am definitely printing this out so when we go up in Sept we hit a few new restaurants.

Hi,
I spend every weekend in Door County and would suggest the following for great food. Mr G's outside of Jacksonport, for an old fashioned Wisconsin Supper Club - better than the Greenwood. Pork, fish, prime rib and salmon are my favorites.

If you want a romantic fish boil, go to White Gull Inn, but if you want the best fish boil, go to The Sandpipers in Baileys Harbor you can sit in or outside and look at the lake. Dinners include all you can eat for $ 13.95 (even includes tax, and lemmonade)
The White Gull Inn does not serve onions with their fish boil, just potatoes and fish and cole slaw, I think the onions really add flavor to the meal. Call for boil over times.

The Best cheeseburgers are at the Coyote Roadhouse on Kangaroo Lake - eat on the deck and enjoy the view! Everything is good there.

Enjoy it all!

Coyote Roadhouse is on E on the northwest corner of Kangaroo Lake.
It is just about 1.5 miles or so east of County road A. Very rustic, has been around under different names since the 40's. All the food is great.
If you know where Stone's Throw Winery is, it is just east of there.

Enjoy your trip.

As far as restaurants in Door County, You HAVE to go to JJ's Lapuerta, I've eaten lots of mexican and this is by far the best I've had in a long while. The chips and salsa are especially fantastic. Not only is the mexican great, but you'll find awesome burgers and sandwiches.
