Seafood -- Jenner/Bodega Bay

I'm looking for affordable seafood in the Jenner/Bodega Bay area. Our family will probably be eating lunch there and we would love to find good food without blowing the budget....Casual atmosphere is preferred!

Thanks for any advice you can provide!!

Fish Grotto at Bodega Bay.

We were there many years ago and we thought that the food was great. At that time we found the food to be very reasonable.

A large dining room with almost mass feeding, very casual as is much of California.

I don't know if the Fish Grotto is still open. I can't find anything about it online...

I've seen mention of Lucas Wharf, The Boathouse and a couple other places (can't think of the names right now)that sound like expensive full-service restaurants. I'm really looking for a simple, inexpensive place to eat lunch.

We had a terrific dinnter at The Tides Wharf & Restaurant, but it looks nothing like it did in the Alfred Hitchcock movie, The Birds. There are some old photos and memorable in the remodeled restaurant. The dinner was not inexpensive, but maybe the lunches would be reasonable if they have specials.

Lucas Wharf Deli (next to the Lucas wharf restaurant) has excellent
fish and chips.

Pelican Plaza has a good deli where you can get an sandwich for a picnic.

Brisas del Mar is decent Mexican with a seafood bent.
All of these are easily accessed from Hwy 1.

Sounds like you are describing the Sand Piper to me! It has reasobnable $ food and mostly locals are there when we have been there. It is perfect fo a family. Our second casual choice is Luxcas wharf on the patio if it is warm enough or in the bar if not. the bar menu is good and much cheaper than the main floor.

We just went to the chowder tasting last weekend and spud point deli was favored by 7 out of 8 in our group. weordered crab salad sandwiches and tri-tip sandwich for lunch and they were pretty good too. We gave found that the bar at Lucas Wharf is the best bet for lunch.Food is not that spectacular here, unless you are talking the Duck club for dinner, but that is more expensive.
