Any fun, moderately priced restaurants in Seaside, OR?

Yes! We have had three great meals the past couple of weeks at a place near Ave. U called Bigfoot Pub & Grub. They have great steaks, seafood, ribs, desserts with a funky kind of mountain atmosphere. We thought it was funny that our server at the Stephanie Inn recommended this place to us when we dined there.

Other favorites are McKeown's, Norma's Ocean Diner for seafood and Corpeny's for great breakfasts and lunch items. Yesterday we had lunch at the Shilo Inn and took in the gorgeous views of Tillamook Head and the ocean. Food is a bit over-priced for what you get, but we go for the views. My daughter and I also had a great bowl of steamer clams there last week. Any other questions about Seaside or surrounding area, feel free to ask. We're begining our third week in the area! ***kim***

www.shopseaside.com is a nice website, it tells a bit about Bigfoot, but I don't think they have their own website. We will be trying the Lil Bayou soon, I'll let you know how it is. It's cajun cuisine. www.lilbayou.com ***kim***

I agree, Doogers is nice. They also have locations in Cannon Beach and Warrenton. (The one in Warrenton is fairly new.) ***kim***

Hi again, a couple of days ago we found a cool little place right on the main drag in Seaside called Sam's Beachside Cafe. It's a nice atmosphere (not as much of a coffee shop feel as Dooger's has) and we had some great coconut shrimp there and my salmon was really good for a cafe-type place.

We will be back here, I want to sample of their clam chowder next visit. It's a convenient place to fuel up when you're out and about walking the prom or shopping. ***kim***

but luvtravel, you must know that no one walks the prom. They all parade on their Del Sol Beach Cruisers.

If you don't have one, oh well. Que syrah, syrah!

****grans!***
