Restaurants in Ruidoso area

Traveling to Ruidoso for the first time next week and staying at the Inn of the Mountain Gods. Can anyone suggest some outstanding reataurants? Upscale? Atmospheric? Thanks.

What did you think of the Inn of the Mountain Gods? I'm thinking of going there this year. Thanks.

I'm curious about the Inn of the Mountain Gods also. I stayed there quite a long time ago--perhaps 18 years ago, and I thought it was showing its age. I assume it must have been updated by now. It was a lovely place, despite looking a bit shabby at that time.

I see no one ever responded with restaurant suggestions for Ruidoso. I am headed out there in two weeks and was also looking for a couple of good places.

Any thoughts on the best Mexican food? It doesn't have to be fancy at all, just good food.

Any other suggestions for a gret meal-- not necessarily upscale but just really tasty? We'll be staying at Inn of the Mountain Gods but want to eat in town a couple of times.

Hi

When we are in Ruidoso, we almost always eat at Casa Blanca. As you can gather from the name, it's a Mexican restaurant. We've always had good food, good service.

Found a new place called Comal in the Gazebo shopping center that was an excellent family owned and operated restaurant. Would love to go back and have some more!
