Restaurant Downtown LA

We need a good restaurant in downtown LA for a Friday evening in October. We are staying at the Hyatt Regency on South Hope Street and don't want to eat in the hotel and don't have a car. We made a reservation at Cafe Pinot, but don't know anything about it.
Can someone help. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

-- Water Grill, 544 South Grand. Great seafood.

-- Pacific Dining Car, 1310 West Sixth. Steakhouse.

-- Engine Co. No. 28, 644 South Figueroa. American cuisine, a little twist here and there.

Those are some of the "big-name" eateries downtown, all very good.

Cafe Pinot is a good choice as are the other suggestions. Do you like sushi?
R-23 923 E 2nd is a great spot. Zucca on S. Figueroa (801) has a good reputation also.

Zucca on Figueroa is a lovely restaurant. It is also within walking distance of the Hyatt.
