If you are looking for waterview restaurants with fresh fish items, in Redondo Beach, two of the most popular are:

Kincaid's
http://www.kincaids.com/index.php?co...=Redondo+Beach

or Blue Water Grill

http://www.bluewatergrill.com/locati...ondo_beach.htm

Both very popular on a Sunday afternoon, you would need reservations. They are located 15-20 min. from freeway.

If neither is necessary, then get off the 405 Freeway at Rosecrans Ave. in Manhattan Beach. Lots of restaurants to choose from just down the street.

In the Ayres Hotel is Matisse, very popular indoor or courtyard dining.

Also:
Daily Grill
Lido
Houston's
PF Changs
Il Fornaio
McCormick & Schmick
Cozymel's

Bluewater Grill is good, in Redondo but Baleen is even better, I think.

If you ever want a great ocean view restaurant in Malibu Beach, I highly recommend Geoffrey's for either lunch or dinner.

The casual restaurant at Trump is very good. The trails there are great for a before or after lunch walk.

Chef Melba's Bistro in downtown Hermosa:

In downtown Long Beach, I like Alegria www.alegriacocinalatina.com/
The Yard House and King's Fish House are pretty reliable chains.

We love Alegria, but have to admit, we have never made it past the tapas menu. I also just noticed that they are not open for lunch on Sundays, so it won't work for MomDD. Have you tried Sevilla, across the street? They are open early on Sundays.

I just noticed that Melba's is no longer open for lunch, either. You might want to check before settling on a restaurant. Some of the ones that are open during the week for lunch (especially those on Rosecrans, near the office buildings) may not be on Sunday. Most of the beachfront restaurants should be, though some may be serving their brunch menus.

lvk, you beat me to it on the times for Sunday lunch at Melba's. We go to "breakfast/lunch" on most Sundays's to meet our son and family at all of the places on Rosecrans, and they are all open at 11 am. We just keep rotating places. It's easy off the freeway for visitors, that's why I listed them.

Haven't been to Trump for a while, but that's a good one, thanks for refreshing my memory.
