Rafting / Stagecoach / Mines

1. Mine tours are mentioned scattered in a few postings. How do I find out more details/websites of tour company names / where out of / prices, etc.
2. Same for rafting & stagecoach rides.

Where do I find the tour companies' websites? Even a few tour company names would give me somewhere to start.

Thanks

Syv,

Try Wells Fargo.com. If that doesn't work, try ponyexpress.org.

Let us know how you did.

Wells Fargo.com just took me to a "banking / financial" website. Ponyexpress.org didn't seem to have anything either. The "local links" button at its website didn't work.

Syv, the Westerner is just trying to be funny. Wells-Fargo was an old stagecoach company that's now a major bank. The pony express was a short-lived part of what's now the US Postal Service.

You can try looking up local chambers of commerce on the web, or just ask here when you have questions about specific destinations. Depending on where you're going, you might want to buy guidebooks for the areas you're visiting for more information.

In SW Colorado, Mancos, near Mesa Verde, has stagecoach rides, Durango has rafting, and Silverton has a mine tour. You might want to throw in a couple of cowboy dinners and shows, too.

Yes I knew about the history of Wells-Fargo and the Pony Express. I guess that's why I thought ... hmmm okay maybe these are now names of tour companies or something. Ha, ha. A friend from here (Ontario Canada) is actually riding the Pony Express route (not sure exactly what part) in September to raise money for an orphanage in Mexico and to try to beat the longest non-stop ride of 370 miles.

But that's another topic.

Yes - I'll keep looking up info on these discussions, etc.
