I agree the Radio City Music hall brings back every Christmas memory one could possibly have. One cannot help getting into the spirit. The ending gives me chills and chokes me up. I love it. I could see it over and over again. As for sophisticated---no it is not but still worth it.

hi- I was just at Radio City last weekend with my 7 year old daughter. My husband and 11 year old son passed as we had been two years ago. They opted for a hockey game. The show is fabulous, however for the age of your children I would recommend a Broadway show and then a visit to Rockefeller Ctr. The Christmas Spectacular at Radio City, while I love it, is a little cheesy. You can get the feeling of Christmas in NY by visiting the tree and possibly skating at Rockfeller Ctr and looking in the Windows at Saks, but enjoying a true Broadway show. There's nothing like it. Happy Holidays! Avalon

My wife and I also just went to the Radio City Christmas spectacular and would recommend it as indeed quite a spectacular. We were with an Elderhostel group so had someone to guide us. Also took in a walking tour of the area and went to the musical The Christmas Carol down at Madison Square auditorium, likewise a spectacular.
Anyway, you will find the Radio City show quite a production along with the Rockettes. It is a bit much in action and sound, but then why not treat yourself to something special. No need for any critical review!
