Tiger f$%^ed up royally and he's getting lambasted for it. I wonder if there is something underlying their relationship that might also be tempting him to act this way. I know many have assumed he's a serial infidel, but when this marriage fails, as it likely will, I would like to find out the whole story.
As many posters here have intimated, she's likely not ever going to be able to trust him again. He should just cut an run now and save his money. She'll get a hefty amount from the prenuptual agreement, plus child support for another 17 years. She's set for life either way.

"If I was Kobe's wife, or Elin, I would NEVER, EVER wear a ring given to me to "make up" for the cheating. I think the whole concept of that is disgusting."
I absolutely agree, karens.
I also think it's disgusting to try to lessen Tiger's infidelity by suggesting that his wife was also unfaithful. There's absolutely no evidence of this. Let's keep the blame where the blame belongs.

Placename,
I dont know what the rules are with prenups, but most are infidelity proof. She would have to find some other way to get it tossed,
I was the most surprised to find out her last one only gave her 20 mill

goddess, if the 5:55 comment was directed at my earlier post, I may not have been entirely clear. No one other than Tiger and Elin know the true nature of their relationship. It could very well have been a miserable mess, we don't know. My point was I'd like to know that aspect of their relationship. I won't assume, like many people have here and elsewhere that he's a serial infidel and has no basis for his actions. Whatever the underlying reason for his actions, it doesn't justify them. It may explain them.
As for keeping the blame where the blame belongs, I guess I'd ask what insight do you have in their relationship that makes it so cut and dried that there is no other explanation than Tiger is to blame?
If it were true that she'd been doing the same thing, it would certainly take her down a notch or two in everyone else's mind. Then they'd both be problematic, and its' a different story.

Uh-oh.
It looks like Tiger's childhood buddy helps him arrange the rendezvous with his girlfriends. Buyin them the tickets to fly to Australia and the like.
How difficult is it going to be to concentrate on the next Masters tournament now? I wonder if he has just bobbled the Nicklaus record.

"I won't assume, like many people have here and elsewhere that he's a serial infidel and has no basis for his actions."
But in fact it turns out he is a serial infidel. It's not like he fell in love with another woman -- he was just getting laid wherever he could. I'm positive he can justify it somehow (you know, the usual: my wife doesn't understand me; my wife is frigid; my wife has let herself go; my wife is only interested in the kids, blah, blah, blah). There's always a reason.

Yes, it would. But there's been absolutely no indication of that, has there? Or have I missed something? We absolutely do know that Tiger was catting around so at the very least, for that there's blame.

Maybe none of the above.
It is about their own pleasure, ego, indiscretion, adrenalin, conquest, opportunity, testosteron, selfishness .....

The whole saga is the stuff of Greek mythology.
Icarus (aka Tiger) discovered he could fly, by attaching feathers to his arms with wax. He few too close to the sun, encouraged by his father, wax melted and he fell to Earth.
Or maybe Tiger is actually Prometheus, condemned to be chained to a rock, with a media eagle eating his entrails by day. Entrails grow again over night, eagle returns again next day for a feed.
Maybe the women he has slept with are a kind of anti-Cassandra, cursed with not telling the truth but always being believed.
Hercules, in the guise of a lawyer – or a team of Hercules’ – will arrive on the scene, and clean all the dung out of the stables, for a large fee.
The Greek chorus chatters the while, the chorus being composed of media publicists, spin doctors, the entourage, all looking for their share of plunder from the ensuing conflict.
His wife can be Helen, a face to launch a thousand ships, brought undone in famed Troy by devious means, stalking horses and the like.
King Priam, Woods’ late father, will mourn the loss of his heroic son, Hector.
The unfortunate children are condemned to the curse of fame, fame gained purely through the fact that their father is good, indeed very good, at striking a small white ball with various implements.
It is sad all round, Greek tragedy at its finest.

"That mindset assumes that Elin is a gold-digger and, as such, got what she paid for. Pardon me, but that's a sexist, stereotyping, chauvinistic, arrogant huge load of crap."
I find it sexist that nobody is bothered by the fact that she apparently knocked out his tooth and gave him facial lacerations and chased him with a golf club. If she was found cheating and he attacked her physically nobody would be joking about using a wood the next time etc. We are willing to accept this behavior in a woman but it is a different story if it is a man perpetrating the violence.
