She'd definitely be entitled to half of the during-marriage earnings if they were in California (not the pre-marriage earnings), subject to the prenup of course, but they live in Florida, which is not a community property state, so my guess is she's entitled to alimony and child support, but not necessarily to 50%.

Placename,
She just better hope Tiger doesnt pull a Donald Trump and walk after 1 yr and 364 days>>I find it sexist that nobody is bothered by the fact that she apparently knocked out his tooth and gave him facial lacerations and chased him with a golf club

If they love one another and want to save the marriage then they should work towards that.
If Elin doesn't want to save the marriage then she will get a good settlement, but there is a prenup. I do NOT believe she is entitled to half of his money. He was Tiger Woods many years before she came into the picture. It's ludicrious to think she deserves 500 million dollars for being married to him for five years. That's about 2 million dollars a week.
The fact that she has 2 kids she will make out like a bandit. I think five or ten million should make her life very comfortable, plus the millions she will get in child support.

Well, again, he's lucky he has a prenup and/or live in California. Because whether he was Tiger Woods or not before they met, here she'd be entitled to 50% of all money earned during the marriage. It's not considered "his money", it's considered "their money".

The prenuptial agreement controls the distribution of property if they divorce, unless she can prove she signed it under duress or it is otherwise void. But even if it is upheld, she would still get child support on top of that.
>>>
The fact is THEY have two children, and there is no "bandit" here.
If she chooses to leave she might find happiness with someone who actually loves her and would be faithful. And the children aren't going to lose their father---he would have lots of time with them (if he wants it). The children could end up with two very good parents, just living in two separate households instad of one unhappy and disrupted one.

Even if they lived in CA whatever he made before their marriage is his, not hers. It's 50/50 during the years they were married.
It doesn't matter, financially she will be just fine and if they separate I think he will be very fair with her. He was very smart to get a prenup.
There are so many temptations for famous people. You have to blame these women as well for going after a married man. If they had any integrity and self appreciation they wouldn't give Tiger the time of day, but they are star struck.

Why would anyone look to celebrities as "role models?" They are admired for their skills -- acting, political or sports, but as life role models? Why?
As far as comparing Hillary and Bill's marriage to this, it's entirely different. Their child was well in her teens and Hillary had known for years about her husband's infidelities and learned to live with it. She was politcally ambitious and was able to deal with it to get what she wanted from it.

Woods has a pre-nup with Elin, she would never get $500 million. Supposedly she gets a bonus of $20 million if she stays married to him for 10 years. The rumor is she is renegotiating the pre-nup for staying married to him.
