Pismo Beach Hotels

Traveling with family - 2 kids 11 and 8 to Pismo...looking at the Sea Gypsy for lodging. Does anyone know about this hotel or have any other recommendations?

We spent a night at the Spyglass Inn in Pismo Beach last summer and liked it alot. The room was very clean, and the food at the restaurant was great. Would have liked to spend more time there.

I've always wanted to stay at the Kon Tiki Inn, but we've never been able to include it in a trip up or down the coast. The Kon Tiki has a mid-20th Century look, and I think all rooms have great ocean views. Next door is a good restaurant, but I can't recall its name.

We've stayed at the Sea Venture and the Sandcastle. Both are very nice. I've wanted to check out the Sea Gypsy, but haven't yet.

I would go for the Sea Venture Resort. It is right on the beach and very nice resort with a swimming pool, restaurant, robes, breakfast delivered to your room in the morning and soft-tub jacuzzis on your private deck. They also offer complimentary beach chairs that we found convenient. It is in a great location, walking distance to the Pismo Pier and they also offer complimentary surrey bikes that the kids love to ride around town. Happy Holidays! ***kim***
