Philadelphia - Mt. Airy-What hotels?

Will be going to Philadelphia in September (9-11)and most of the activities will be in the Mt. Airy area of town. Any hotel suggestions. There isnt anything in Mt. Airy that I've been able to find, but what other neighborhoods would be most convenient. We will have a car. Many downtown hotels are booked already. Is there something going on that weekend? Thanking you in advance for any assistance.

I would look in the Chestnut Hill. It's a nice area and close to Mt. Airy.

The nicest would probably be the Marriott in Conshohocken.I would suggest looking next at the Plymouth Meeting area which has a direct to Mt. Airy.Downtown Philly is a little further than nexcssary unless you want to use the regional trains.

Chestnut Hill Hotel is nearby but I believe it is fairly expensive. You can look at the city line area hotels. There used to be an Adams Mark. City line is close to Mt. Airy. Just take your time on Lincoln Dr. Its a bit of a hairy drive because of the tight turns.
