parking at trails in Sedona area
Hi there. We'll be in Sedona for 2 weeks mid-March 2019. The Sedona home we're interested in booking on Airbnb says its a 10 minute walk to town. They say its a quiet neighborhood and the pics show that the home is a style that we'd like. My husband and I are novice hikers -probably 2-3 hrs total of hiking/day. (We also want to fit in some golfing and a day trip to the Grand Canyon.
There are places available to book in our price range that show trail heads that are literally 5 minutes by foot from the front door but the house pics show that we're paying for the location, not the house/amenities, which is also very important to us.
So, if we go with the town home we like, we could drive to the hiking trails BUT.... what about parking?? Many of the trails that I've looked into seem to offer very little parking. Trail website suggestions are to be at the trail in the early morning...not doable for our routines.
So, where do people park their cars say, late morning/early afternoons at trails? Can we park on the road/highway or on busy days, might we be parking a mile or 2 from the trail and we're tired before starting the actual hike? Would you expect the trails to be busy mid-March anyway?
Thanks!
