I will be going to the Palm Beach area in early July for a concert. I am looking at several hotels: Delray Marriot, Marriot Ocean Point, Crowne Plaza Oceanfront, and Hilton Singer Island Oceanfront Hotel.

I know these hotels are in different areas, and that is ok. I am wondering how these hotels compare as far as room cleanliness, pool area, and the beach.

I'm only familiar with the Delray & Singer Island places (not sure of location of the others.) The Delray Marriott is supposed to be lovely with a nice beach and sits at the end of the "main drag", Atlantic Ave., where there are tons of restaurants lining both sides of the street. Downtown Delray is a "youngish" area (for Fla.). It's about a 15-20 min drive north to West Palm on the Tpk.

Singer Island has, IMO, one of the nicest east coast Fla. beaches but it's a bit removed with limited restaurant choices close by. Most important, I think soemone recently posted that the Hilton was undergoing some renovation so check on this. That could be noisy & inconvenient.

There is at least one ocean front hotel in Palm Beach (maybe one of the others you mentioned) which would be closest to your concert venue perhaps. Also, there's a Ritz Carlton just outside Palm Beach that may have some specials in July. Have you checked Rants & Raves here? Hope this helps.

PS If you read the string today called "South Florida beaches" there are more mentions of the Delray Marriott.

The Delray Marriott on Atlantic Ave and Ocean Blve is NEW -right across the street from the beach and at the end of Atlantic Ave where EVERYTHING is happening!! A terrific location to be- and you do NOT even need a car!!

Singer Island is WAY WAY out

Have no info on the other hotels you mentioned--but I have stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Manalapan ( considered to be Palm Beach) and it is GORGEOUS--DIRECTLY on the beach with an awesome pool--but you do need a car there....

In my opnion, unless you NEED to be in PALM BEACH- stay in Delray- as that Marriott is right in the swing of things--

The renovated Delray Downtown area is very hip and young!! You will love it!

I believe the Marriot Delray is across the street from the beach. Is there beach access right across the street?

You will NOT be disappointed....

Ask for a room facing the OCEAN, as the view is totally un-obstructed-- the only thing IN FRONT of the hotel is the OCEAN....GORGEOUS!!
