Oregon Coast Luxury Lodging
Any input on helping us choose between the following (romantic w/end) would be appreciated:
1) O'dysyius
2) Salishan
3) Cliff House
4) Overleaf Lodge
Prefer more upscale lodging with great views / amenities. Any other recommendations appreciated (this would be for a w/end in November).

Hi ORTravel,
We've stayed at O'dysyius (Lincoln City) and Salishan (Gleneden) and for views I'd definitely go for O'dysyius - go for the 5th floor view rooms, otherwise you may see the Sea Gypsy or Kyllo's restaurant instead of the coast. This is a nice place - nice rooms and evening wine reception, the only "downfall" is that it sits in the back of Kyllo's and Sea Gypsy's parking lot (although it sits high) and so it's not directly on the beach, but VERY close. It is located on the beach side of Hiway 101 and is just a few steps to the beach.
As for Salishan, it too has nice rooms, but the views are lacking. You can either get a view of the woods, golf course, or bay, but you won't be seeing the ocean. Even the bay views are pretty sad because the bay is quite a ways away - it's more of a distant view. Great on-site dining room.
I am unable to comment on the other two as I've not stayed there.
Goodluck!

I have stayed at the Overleaf and enjoyed it- had a great view and could hear the ocean all night long
you might check website for Little Cove Creek condos near Newport - have not stayed there but heard good reviews - looks like they have great views

I've stayed at Salishan, and more recently, the Overleaf. While I don't consider either luxurious, the Overleaf has more of what I imagine you're looking for. Some rooms have fireplaces, and the view is spectacular from them all.
If you're really looking more for luxury, try Stephanie Inn in Cannon Beach.

Have stayed twice at the Overleaf. I wouldn't call it luxury but do enjoy the fireplace rooms, the view, and the sound of the ocean.
Although we haven't been there recently, we've had good experiences in the past with Inn at Otter Crest.
