Coromandel

Any recommendations for accommodation in this area during march? My message re the GBR written 3 days ago has not been posted yet. Any reason for the delay?

We spent a few days driving the Coromandel. Very pretty. the pass from east to west coast is twisty and beautiful. We stayed at Mercury Bay in Whitianga, and Coromandel Colonial Cottages in Coromandel, near the tourist train that is therestop for hikes, and visit some gardens. have fun.

I too have stayed in Mercury Bay about 3 years ago. Stayed in a very nice motel - named something like the admirals Inn - right on the water front.

We stayed at Harbour View at Coromandel earlier this year. All the units have a balcony with spectacular views over the harbour. Our unit had a very large main room with lounge area, kitchen and dining area, and bed facing the view, plus a separate bathroom and another bedroom. It was more than our budget but the atmosphere and views were so good we couldn't resist.
