Coos Bay Area Lodging with Ocean View?

We plan to spend one night in January in Coos Bay or nearby, and we are looking for a room with balcony and ocean view. Any ideas.

You should consider Driftwood Shores Resort North of Florence if you can afford it. Why January? I go to the Oregon coast in warmer months.

Thanks for the suggestion--it looks like our kind of place.

We are driving from Seattle to Los Angeles down 101 to avoid possible ice and snow on I-5. We like spending a night or two on the coast in the winter, especially if a storm blows in.

Hi there, just to let you know, there isn't a 'balcony and an ocean view' in Coos Bay. I would suggest either Florence (north of Coos Bay) or Bandon (south of Coos Bay). As mentioned Driftwood Shores in Florence is lovely and right on the beach.

We have not found a place we like in Bandon which has a great ocean view. Last year, relying on TripAdvisor reviews, we stayed at Bandon Inn, which was a big disappointment in several ways.

I noticed some rooms at nearby Sunset Motel have spectacular ocean views, but I read complaints that the rooms are badly in need of refurbishment.

We would love to spend a night in Bandon so we can have dinner at Alloro Wine Bar and Restaurant. Any suggestions for a room with a balcony and great ocean view?

Depoe Bay is 100 miles N of Coos Bay but Whale Cove Inn is outstanding.

Whale Cove Inn @ 2345 S Hwy 101, Depoe Bay, OR 541 - 765 - 4300.

there are no hotels in Coos Bay with an ocean view, only bay views. If you have your heart set on a ocean view i'd suggest Loft by the Lighthouse in Charleston (just a few miles west of Coos Bay). Its spectacular. Everyone who i've sent there falls in love, sometimes i go out to visit the owner Jill just to have coffee on her deck. Its a small property, just 2 units, sitting on a cliff overlooking Lighthouse Beach. Spectacular views and private steps down to the beach. you will not be sorry if you stay there. You can check out their website at: http://loftbythelighthouse.com/
