Oregon Coast - unobstructed ocean view

My wife and I will be staying 5 days on the Oregon coast in February, 2015. We are looking for a vacation rental with an unobstructed ocean view. We are in our 60's, and looking for something in the 100-200$ price range. We are spoiled; we want to hear the waves and smell the sea, with nothing between us and the ocean. Could anyone help?

There are several places that will meet your needs. The northernmost place that I can think of is in the town of Seaside along the Prommenade which runs for more than a mile on the ocean side of town.
If you want a view of Haystack Rock (and pay more) go a few miles south to Cannon Beach.
How far south were you planning on going (assuming that you are flying into PDX)?
Seaside has the historical spot where members of the Corps of Discovery boiled seawater to get salt to preserve meat for the long trip back to Missouri.
The spot is within 50 yards of the Prom.

Check out the Surfrider resort above Depoe Bay and ask for an Oceanfront room.

The Oregon coast is LONG! and Beautiful. Where do you want to go? Seaside and Cannon Beach are near Portland. We also love Newport and FLorence, further south.

It would help if you narrowed down which part(s) of the coast you want. But since you said you want a rental I assume you mean a house/cottage - right?

If so this one in Otter Rock in w/i your budget in Feb. http://www.vrbo.com/429517

And this one near Depoe Bay is well under your budget http://www.vrbo.com/366715

Depoe Bay is just south of Lincoln City - and you can take a road from Portland over to Lincoln City and be there in about two hours.

Some think driving from there south is the prettiest stretch of the Oregon coast - but I think it's all very scenic.

We are so grateful for your suggestions. As to where we will stay, it will primarily central: lincoln city, Depot Bay, but also would consider north to Cannon Beach and south as far as Florence.

Thanks
