When are you going? Thanks to a post on this board, I found the best hotel rates on this site:

http://smartervegas.com

We got the Wynn for $179/night in late October. Yea!

At that price range, you can get a nice hotel on the strip. the Venetian and Bellagio both fit the bill. I would also consider Paris as it's in the middle of the strip and has some good restaurants. The Steakhouse at Bally's is great (expensive) - next door to Paris. The breakfast buffet in Paris is great too.

Love the Wynn..big rooms with great beds, linens..tons of plush pillows.
love the restaurants too.
I use either Expedia or direct..
Other posters have given you great advice on other hotels/links.
Have a great time in Vegas.

That's great for the Wynn in "nice weather" October! I know it must be a Sun - Thursday, but still quite a deal.

I booked the Wynn for Wed and Thurs night. Jumped on it as a result of reading a thread here on Fodor's. I'd booked NYNY as a placeholder while watching for promos at Bellagio or Mandalay Bay. Never thought the Wynn would come up. Yea Fodor's!
